Kidnap bid foiled in Goa

first_imgPanaji: The South Goa police on Saturday foiled a kidnapping attempt of a businessman from Vasco by three persons. The kidnappers, who were being chased by the police, pushed the victim from the car. “Three people kidnapped Harish Solanki from outside his shop and demanded a ransom of ₹10 lakh,” acting Superintendent of Police Dinraj Govekar said. The victim was pushed out of the moving car, after a police control room van started chasing the Tata Indica vehicle which the kidnappers were driving, the police officer said. “The victim is fine. There are no injuries. We have identified the kidnappers,” Mr. Govekar said, and added they would be caught soon.last_img read more
